Our customer, Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), is looking for an educated and experienced Epidemiologist (m/f/d) to enlarge the RCV (Regional Center Vienna) Medical Affairs Group. 

The new team member will work and move business forward as Regional Medical Affairs Manager Epidemiology (m/f/d) for the different therapeutic areas within human pharma business and for different regions of the BI‘s Regional Center Vienna organisation.

Your tasks

  • Develop, implement and execute observational studies that use real-world data (RWE), disease epidemiology and patient population characterization for development and marketed products and for cost comparison between BI products and competitors
  • Prepare product based RCV RWE strategy plans and execute according to established timelines for pipeline assets in cooperation with local, regional and global colleagues
  • Provide epidemiology advice and training to various internal and external stakeholders as well as critical review and input on e.g. non-interventional study proposals, publications, expert statements
  • Review, assess and summarize medical literature to support study development and internal decision making

Your qualifications

  • PhD/MD in epidemiology or Master’s degree (Natural Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy) and at least three to five years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry, ideally Pharma/Biotech
  • Solid background in standard as well as new epidemiological methods and statistical skills
  • Medical / pharmacological and basic pharmacovigilance knowledge
  • Experience with healthcare claims and medical records and/or patient registry data
  • Strong communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills, ready to challenge the status-quo
  • Business proficiency in English

  • Remuneration: EUR 90.000 gross annual salary (incl. variable pay) with willingness to overpay
