Our client is one of the worldwide most successful pharma-companies who wants to strengthen its Finance Team in Vienna by an experienced Senior Manager for Accounting and Order to Cash (m/f/d). 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Primary contact and responsible for all Accounting, Order to Cash, Reporting (US GAAP, Local GAAP), Tax (Including intercompany) and bank activities
  • Calculate and prepare accurate tax return data (coordination with External Auditors and Tax Advisers), VAT and other statutory returns
  • Main point of contact for external audits (statutory and tax)
  • Handle all non-routine accounting & tax transactions (specific tax reporting, National Bank reports, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, purchase orders, manual payments, petty cash, etc.)
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timelines of the accounting by performing any combination of calculation, posting and verifying transactions in order to ensure that all financial data reflect true and fair picture in accordance with Local and US GAAP
  • Control and management of the quarterly and Year-end financial closing and reporting
  • Responsible for preparing legal entity forecasts and budget
  • Act as a key partner of Supply Chain, Distribution and Quality following up on local demands to ensure continuity of supply
  • Ensure all Customer master data changes are accurate and timely updated
  • Responsible for reviewing other Control Documents / Work Instructions
  • Maintains a high standard of internal control that complies with Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate policies and procedures and local requirements
  • Manage relationships with internal and external Capability Centers (Accounting Tax & Statutory Center of Excellence, European Capability Centre, Global Process Owners) ensuring accounting & tax services are being delivered for Austria Market in the agreed quality


  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration or other leading business school
  • Relevant experience: minimum eight years in Accounting and/or Finance (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry)
  • Experience working in a cross-functional business and matrix organization (international environment)
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP & Local GAAP
  • Good understanding of tax legislation
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Good communication and presentation skills and ability to interact/influence with business partners
  • Demonstrated experience of integrated software packages and financial reporting modules, especially SAP
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Tools (advanced knowledge of Excel)
  • Ability to work under time pressure and in a changing environment
  • Proactive and independent working style

The compensation of this position consists of a gross annual salary of EUR 85,000 (excluding bonus) with willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications and previous work experience.
